Mark Ruffalo confirms that “preliminary talks” have taken place for She-Hulk appearance

March 2, 2020 by Liam Waddington

After weeks of rumours regarding Mark Ruffalo returning as Bruce Banner/Hulk in the upcoming She-Hulk Disney+ series, the actor has revealed talks have taken place regarding an appearance.

During a panel at the C2E2 event in Chicago (via ComicBook), Ruffalo confirmed “preliminary talks” have taken place for him to appear in the Disney+ series alongside the character Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk after uncertainty about when he might be returning to the franchise after Avengers: Endgame.

While there is no official confirmation yet that Ruffalo will continue his journey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the She-Hulk series as of yet, it’s safe to assume Marvel fans are joyous to learn there is a possibility, particularly as his character is crucial to the origin of She-Hulk in the comic books.

She-Hulk is being written by Jessica Gao (Rick and Morty), however, there are no details on the story or casting for the roles as of yet. The series is presumably targeting a 2022 release date with Marvel’s Disney+ schedule being filled through to the end of 2021 with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki, What If…?, Ms. Marvel and Hawkeye.
