Marvel and DC to reprint JLA/Avengers crossover series

March 1, 2026 by Gary Collinson

As we count down to the next crossover between the two comic book giants with the upcoming Spider-Man/Superman and Superman/Spider-Man one-shots, Marvel and DC have announced that they are set to bring the acclaimed 2003 limited series JLA/Avengers by legendary creators Kurt Busiek and George Perez back in to print.

The four-issue series will be reprinted in its original form as new Facsimile Editions with original trade dress and wraparound covers, with Marvel set to publish JLA/Avengers #1 and #3 in May and July and DC releasing Avengers/JLA #2 and #4 in June and August respectively. The issues will also be available with new variant covers, set to be unveiled at a later date.

It’s the grandest Marvel and DC comics crossover of them all and an icon-packed event decades in the making! After years of anticipation, JLA/AVENGERS reunited acclaimed writer Kurt Busiek (Marvels) with his AVENGERS collaborator George Pérez – an artistic legend for both companies – to assemble every single member of Earth’s Mightiest and the World’s Greatest in one blockbuster book! Universes collide as the Justice League fights the towering Terminus and the Avengers face the awesome menace of Starro! Each team must undertake an epic quest on the other’s world, with the fate of both realities in the balance!
