NetEase Games has released a new gameplay trailer for Marvel Mystic Mayhem, a team-based tactical RPG that blends strategic combat with a haunting twist on the Marvel universe. Pre-registration is available on Android and iOS, with some enticing rewards for fans, including in-game currency, rare collectables, Shadow Keys, and even the fan-favourite Psylocke.
The new trailer gives us our best look at what Mystic Mayhem has in store. Players will build squads of three heroes or villains to battle corrupted versions of Marvel icons, each twisted by the fearsome Nightmare. The combat system looks slick and stylised, with the character’s familiar powers getting eerie visual makeovers that perfectly fit the nightmarish tone of the game.
From Avengers like Iron Man and Doctor Strange to more mystical picks like Moon Knight, Scarlet Witch and even some lesser-known heroes like Misty Knight and Sleepwalker, the character roster promises deep tactical potential and fan-pleasing surprises. Then there are the bosses, twisted nightmare versions of Marvel legends, including a Captain America’s Hydra Nightmare, a monstrous take on X-Men’s Armour and the terrifying Eye of Nightmare itself.
