Having originally planned to release the first trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron this coming week before it leaked online [watch the trailer here], it seems that Marvel Studios may still have a surprise up its sleeve after inviting the press to attend a special event this coming Tuesday at the El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles.
No further details have been released, but it is possible that the press event could be promotion for the exclusive Avengers: Age of Ultron preview that is set to air later in the night during Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC. However, with news breaking a couple of weeks ago that Robert Downey Jr. is being lined up to join Chris Evans in Captain America 3, could the studio be set to drop a big Civil War announcement, or – with Warner Bros. revealing its DC slate through to 2020 recently – perhaps details of Marvel’s plans for Phase Three?
I guess we’ll find out soon enough…
