Marvel’s Kevin Feige talks WandaVision, new images released

November 23, 2020 by Amie Cranswick

Thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, it’s been a good while now since we’ve seen anything from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but that will all change this January when Marvel Studios premieres its first Disney+ series WandaVision starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany.

Speaking to Empire, Marvel Studios supremo Kevin Feige has been speaking about the series, and more specifically the opportunity to full explore Wanda Maximoff’s incredible power set:

“If you look at the Infinity Saga, I don’t think any single person has gone through more pain and trauma than Wanda Maximoff,” said Feige. “And no character seems to be as powerful as Wanda Maximoff. And no character has a power-set that is as ill-defined and unexplored as Wanda Maximoff.”

Feige has previously described Wanda as the MCU’s most powerful hero, even going so far as to say that she could best Thanos in single combat, and it sounds like we’re going to see exactly why that is when WandaVision gets underway in January. In the meantime however, here’s another couple of promotional stills courtesy of Empire…

Marvel Studios’ captivating new series WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany and marks the first series from Marvel Studios streaming exclusively on Disney+. The series is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision—two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

WandaVision is set to premiere January 15th, 2021, and features a cast that includes Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Paul Bettany (Vision), Kat Dennings (Darcy Lewis), Randall Park (Agent Jimmy Woo),  Teyonah Parris (Empire) as Monica Rambeau, and Kathryn Hahn (Bad Moms) as Agnes.
