Meet the gangs in the new Necromunda: Underhive Wars trailer

August 29, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Focus Home Interactive and developer Rogue factor have released a new trailer (see below) for their upcoming Necromunda: Underhive Wars that introduces the gangs that vie for dominance in the ancient tunnels and catacombs deep beneath the giant hive city of Necromunda.  Necromunda: Underhive Wars is the first tactical RPG based on Games Workshop’s epic tabletop war game, Necromunda and will be available on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC on 8th September.

The massive Hive World of Necromunda has produced weapons and munitions for the Astra Militarum for thousands of years and provides the Imperial Fists Space Marines with many a loyal neophyte.  The Hive appears to be the same as many that dot the territory of the Imperium but in the dark and ancient depths of the Underhive there is constant war between rival gangs for the resources and forgotten technology that dates back to the founding of the city millennia before.

Although there are many smaller factions littered throughout the vast Underhive there are three main gangs who fight not only to survive but also for entertainment, these are:

  • House Orlock – The richest of the gangs thanks to their lucrative location in key industrial areas.  The Orlocks are specialists with ranged weaponry and can afford the best weapons and armour it is possible to buy.
  • House Escher – A brutal, psychotic gang of women who dominate the chem and stim market within the Underhive. They love their melee combat and won’t think twice about using it in any situation.
  • House Goliath – With this gang it is a case of bigger is better and each member is a walking brick ****house.  Steroids have got the better of them making them impulsive and dangerous with any massive weapon.

Necromunda: Underhive Wars will release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC this September.  Pre-order now on Steam and Xbox One.
