Megan Fox has a strongly worded message for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles haters

August 2, 2014 by Gary Collinson

It seems that the upcoming live-action reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has come under fire from the moment it was announced that Michael Bay was looking to bring the Heroes in a Half-Shell back to the screen. Bay’s involvement itself was enough to get some fans going, and that was followed up by criticism of the rumoured alien origins, a potential name change to Ninja Turtles, the casting of Transformers star Megan Fox as April O’Neil and even the designs of the new-look Turtles.

Well, with the film due to open in the States in less than a week, we’ll sound find out whether all the negativity has been warranted, but in the meantime Megan Fox has a message for haters of the reboot, which she delivered during a press conference in Los Angeles earlier today: “Let me tell you something about those people. How much money did Transformers: Age of Extinction make? Exactly. Those people can complain – they all go to the theater. They’re gonna love it – and if they don’t love it, they can fuck off, and that’s the end of that.”

Hmm… probably not the best way to try and get the haters on board right before the release, it must be said…

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans) and produced by Michael Bay (Transformers: Age of Extinction). Featuring in the cast are Megan Fox (Transformers) as April O’Neil, Pete Ploszek (Parks and Recreation) and Johnny Knoxville (Jackass Presents Bad Grandpa) as Leonardo, Alan Ritchson (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) as Raphael, Jeremy Howard (How the Grinch Stole Christmas) as Donatello, Noel Fisher (Battle Los Angeles) as Michaelangelo, Danny Woodburn (Seinfeld) and Tony Shalhoub (Monk) as Splinter, William Fichtner (The Dark Knight) as Eric Sachs, Will Arnett (The LEGO Movie) as Vernon Fenwick, Whoopi Goldberg (Ghost) as Bernadette Thompson, and K. Todd Freeman (The Dark Knight) as Baxter Stockman. The film is set for release on August 8th in the States and on October 17th in the UK. Watch the latest trailer here.
