With the earliest version of Mickey Mouse entering the public domain on January 1st thanks to the copyright expiration on Steamboat Willie, it’s taken just a matter of hours for the first horror-themed projects featuring Disney’s iconic mascot to make their presence felt.
Following hot on the heels of the horror survival video game Infestation 88, we now have a trailer, poster and images for the slasher film Mickey’s Mouse Trap, which sees a masked killer donning a Mickey Mouse mask to cause carnage at an amusement arcade. Take a look below…
It’s Alex’s 21st Birthday, but she’s stuck at the amusement arcade on a late shift so her friends decide to surprise her, but a masked killer dressed as Mickey Mouse decides to play a game of his own with them which she must survive.
Mickey’s Mouse Trap is directed by Jamie Bailey and stars Sophie McIntosh, Callum Sywyk, Allegra Nocita, Ben Harris, Damir Kovic, Mackenzie Mills, Nick Biskupek and Simon Phillips.
Mickey’s Mouse Trap is looking at a March 2024 release date.
