Now that Benedict Cumberbatch has officially signed on to play Dr. Stephen Strange in 2016’s Doctor Strange, it seems that Marvel Studios and director Scott Derrickson are turning their attention to the supporting cast.
According to Latino-Review, the studio has reportedly approached Morgan Freeman (The Dark Knight Rises), Ken Watanabe (Godzilla) and Bill Nighy (Pride) with regards to the role of The Ancient One, the mentor of Doctor Strange and the previous Sorcerer Supreme.
