Netflix reimagines Good Times with trailer for animated series

March 28, 2024 by Amie Cranswick

Netflix has released a trailer, poster and images for Good Times, the adult animated reimagining of the 1970s’ sitcom of the same name which centres on the current generation of the Evans family at their home in a Chicago housing project; take a look here…

In this edgy, irreverent reimagining of the TV classic, a new generation of the Evans family keeps their heads above water in a Chicago housing project.

The series features the voice talents of J.B. Smoove and Yvette Nicole Brown as Reggie and Beverly Evans, Jay Pharoah as their teenage artist son Junior, Marsai Martin as their activist daughter Grey, Slink Johnson as their drug-dealing infant son Dalvin, and Rashida “Sheedz” Olayiwola as Beverly’s enterprising best friend Lashes by Lisa.

Good Times arrives on Netflix on April 12th.
