Netflix releases first-look images from Beef season 2 ahead of April premiere

January 22, 2026 by Ricky Church

After over three years since Netflix’s dark comedy Beef premiered, the series is coming back in April with a new set of characters dealing with their petty grievances against each other.

Beef season two follows a young married couple played by Cailee Spaeny and Charles Melton who work at an elite country golf club and witness a fight between their boss and his wife, using it to try to move up among the ranks and impress the club’s billionaire owner. The official synopsis reads:

A Gen Z couple witnesses an alarming fight between their millennial boss and his wife. Ashley (Spaeny) and Austin (Melton), both lower-level staff at a country club, become entangled in the unraveling marriage of their general manager, Josh (Oscar Isaac), and his wife, Lindsay (Carey Mulligan). Through favors and coercion, both couples vie for the approval of the elitist club’s billionaire owner, Chairwoman Park (Youn Yuh Jung), who struggles to manage her own scandal involving her second husband, Doctor Kim (Song Kang Ho).

The second season features Speany, Melton, Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Youn Yuh-jung, Song Kang-ho, William Fitchner, Mikaela Hoover and BM.

Premiering on April 16th, season two will consist of eight episodes. Beef was created by Lee Sung Jin, who returns as showrunner and executive producer. The first season starred Steve Yeun and Ali Wong, who are also returning as executive producers.

Beef season two will premiere on Netflix April 16th.
