November 9, 2020 by Amie Cranswick

With a little over two weeks to go until Mosul arrives on Netflix, the streaming service has released a trailer, poster and images for the upcoming thriller. Directed by Matthew Michael Carnahan and produced by Anthony and Joe Russo (Avengers: Endgame, Extraction), the film tells the story of the story of the Nineveh SWAT team who waged a guerrilla operation against ISIS in effort to save their city; take a look here…

When ISIS took their homes, families and city, one group of men fought to take it all back. After inexperienced Iraqi cop Kawa (Adam Bessa) is rescued from a harrowing firefight by the elite Nineveh SWAT team, he’s quickly inducted into the rogue squadron, a band of ten brothers-in-arms led by the wise Major Jasem (Suhail Dabbach). Under constant threat of attack, the unit embarks on a dangerous guerrilla operation, determined to wipe out an enemy base and restore order to the lawless territory.

Mosul arrives on Netflix on November 26th and features a cast that includes Suhail Dabbach, Adam Bessa, and Is’haq Elias.
