New game mode announced for Warhammer: Vermintide 2

June 12, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Fatshark will be adding a new game mode to their award winning game set in Games Workshop’s Warhammer world, Warhammer: Vermintide 2.  Rather than fighting against the hordes of Skaven and Chaos warriors, players will be able to take on each other.  Check out the new trailer below…

If fighting Chaos and Skaven doesn’t fill you with the same level of excitement as it once did then how about becoming the enemy and fighting the heroes in the new 4 vs 4 versus mode?  In this new mode, players will be able to slay heroes for the Chaos gods, or as heroes, take on an enemy that is tougher than any before.

“The player has always been the hero of the game, but in the Versus mode, players will now be able to play as the enemy factions.” says Martin Wahlund, CEO Fatshark. “Versus is a competitive game mode where two separate teams of four players take turns playing as the enemies and heroes.”

If you want to take part in the beta for this new game mode then visit the Vermintide website here to sign up.

Vermintide 2 is getting a 4v4 Versus mode where one team gets to play as the special Skaven and Rotblood enemy types, working together to defeat the Ubersreik 5.
