New trailer for Endzone: A World Apart looks at surviving radiation

March 19, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Assemble Entertainment and developer Gentlymad Studio take a look at surviving radiation in a brand-new feature trailer for their upcoming post-apocalyptic city-builder Endzone: A World Apart, which is set for an early access release later this spring on Steam and GOG.  The wasteland that players lead their people out into is one seeped in radiation and this latest video looks at its effects on the settlements and how to ensure survival from it in this new polluted world.

The world of Endzone: A World Apart has been torn apart by radiation and when players lead their people out of their protective bunker they will find this has affected everything and is still at deadly levels in certain areas.  The game’s handy Geiger counter will prove to be a player’s best friend at detecting where the radiation is at its worst and carbon filters and protective clothing will help prevent radiation poisoning.  Paying attention to on-screen indicators and auditory alerts will help keep the population safe.

In Endzone: A World Apart the Earth has been devastated by a series of terrorist attacks on the world’s nuclear powerplants. After 150 years the world is just about fit for human habitation and what remains of humanity climb out of the bunkers and prepare to rebuild civilisation.  Living in this post-apocalyptic world isn’t easy and players will be tasked with creating a new settlement with a thriving ecosystem while surviving an environment filled with radioation, contaminated rain and extreme climate change.

It will be up to players to provide their citizens with shelter, fulfill their basic needs of water and food and ensure their survival.  Citizens can also be set to work with a variety of tasks ranging from gaining resources to exploring old world ruins.

Endzone: A World Apart will arrive on early access later this spring.

Assemble Entertainment has joined forces with One Tree Planted to launch a charitable campaign that will help combat real-world climate change.  Just by wishlisting the game on Steam and GOG before the game’s launch will help plant trees.
