With filming on Wonder Woman slated to get underway this month, The Wrap is reporting that Oscar winner Nicole Kidman is in talks with Warner Bros. about joining the Amazon Princess’ 2017 solo movie.
According to the site, Kidman’s role is yet to be confirmed, although speculation suggests she could be playing Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons and Diana’s biological mother.
The casting would mark a return to the world of DC for Kidman, who starred as Dr. Chase Meridian in 1995’s Batman Forever.

Wonder Woman is being directed by Patty Jenkins (Monster) and will see Gal Gadot reprising her role from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as the Amazon Princess alongside Chris Pine (Star Trek) as Steve Trevor. The film is scheduled for release on June 23rd 2017.
