Novigrad expansion arrives for GWENT: The Witcher Card Game

June 30, 2019 by Andrew Newton

CD Projekt Red has released Novigrad, the second expansion for GWENT: The Witcher Card Game on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.  This new expansion adds more combos and deadly playstyles so that players can take advantage of the battlefields.  See more of the expansion in the trailer below….

Novigrad brings players sinister new archetypes, devious combos and a brand new faction known as the Syndicate.  This new faction has over 90 cards, including 15 cross-faction ones and 5 new leader characters, and a set of abilities and gameplay mechanics.

As a bonus, all players who log into the game before 17th July will receive a free Novigrad Keg, this gives 5 cards from the new expansion.

Also, for a limited time, CD Projekt Red has provided a special Arena Mode event that lets players draft from the Syndicate cards, as well as an expansion themed promotional offer called The Underworld Pack.  This pack is available from the in-game shop.

Don’t be fooled by the city’s beauty and wealth — it’s rotten to the core. Crime lords are vying for control of the streets using any means at their disposal. Yet strange events are becoming more commonplace. Once rival gangs are now being seen working together. The chaos is evolving, but why? And more importantly, into what?

The Novigrad Expansion is available for download now, for free.
