Searchlight Pictures have released the trailer for Sam Mendes’ love letter to cinema, Empire of Light, which reunites the Academy Award winning director with his 1917 cinematographer Roger Deakins, a collaborative duo who both know a fair bit about the power of the projected image.
Set in an old cinema located in an English seaside town during the 1980s, Empire of Light stars Olivia Colman, Micheal Ward, Tom Brooke, Tanya Moodie, Hannah Onslow, Crystal Clarke, Toby Jones, and Colin Firth, and features a score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross; check out the trailer here…
