Outbreak: The New Nightmare leaves Early Access in January

Dead Drop Studios have announced that their co-op horror shooter Outbreak: The New Nightmare, the next chapter in the popular Outbreak series, will be leaving Early Access for a full release on Steam in January 2018.  When the game is fully released the price will also go up but it is on sale until the 28th November with a fabulous 40% discount making it just £5.39/ $11.99.  To celebrate this news Dead Drop Studios have revealed a Full Release trailer which can be viewed below…

Outbreak: The New Nightmare is a hardcore co-op survival horror shooter inspired by classic horror titles such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill.  Set in the ruins of a destroyed city players will need to scavenge for weapons, ammunition and other supplies while surviving the horrors that an apocalypse brings.

Supporting up to 4 player online multiplayer co-op (as well as single player), Outbreak: The New Nightmare will see players using a variety of weapons including knives, handguns, shotguns and revolvers to watch each others backs.  Unlike other games you only have one life so the secret is co-operate and survive.

Outbreak: The New Nightmare will feature:

  • Beauty: Experience the nightmare in beautiful high definition 3D.
  • Film: Fixed and panning camera angles bring the cinematic feel.
  • Campaign Mode: Experience the story and attempt to escape the quarantine zone.
  • Onslaught Mode: Survive endless waves of the undead.
  • Experiments Mode: Bonus game modes and challenges.
  • Classic: Hardcore survival horror in an unforgiving apocalypse.
  • Cast: Choose from unique characters with their own attributes.
  • Progression: Earn XP, level up and customize each character.
  • Friends: 4-player online co-op multiplayer featuring voice chat.
  • Alone: Play single-player offline in all game modes.
  • Inventory: Choose wisely, your inventory is dangerously limited.
  • Destruction: Numerous firearms, explosives and melee weapons.
  • Replay: Semi-random enemy and item layouts.
  • Controller: Customisable gamepad, mouse and keyboard controls.
  • Worldwide: Cloud-based multiplayer with region selector means no NAT issues.
