Ahead of its world premiere at the Fantasia Film Festival this Sunday, Black Fawn Films has released a poster and trailer for the upcoming horror The Undertone.
The film centres on Evy, a paranormal podcast host who moves into her mother’s house to take care of her, when she receives strange audio recordings from a couple and comes to the terrifying realisation that their story mirrors her own.
Written and directed by Ian Tuason, the cast includes Nina Kiri , Michèle Duquet, and Kris Holden-Ried. Check out the trailer below…
The host of an ‘all-things-creepy’ podcast moves into her dying mother’s house to be her primary caregiver. When her podcast is sent 10 strange audio recordings of a young pregnant couple experiencing paranormal noises, she realizes the woman’s story mirrors her own as each new recording scratches at her sanity, drawing her into a fate she cannot escape.
The Undertone will premiere on July 27th at Fantasia.
