Peaky Blinders coming to VR with trailer for The King’s Ransom

February 11, 2022 by Andrew Newton

Maze Theory and global distributor Banijay, working alongside the Peaky (fookin’) Blinders brand, have announced they will put VR gamers at the heart of 1920’s Small Heath Birmingham with Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom later this year.  With familiar environments and more familiar faces voiced by stars of the hit series, this looks to be a game that fans will love to dive into.  See the new trailer below….

Set in an authentic and atmospheric 1920s Birmingham, Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom puts players at the heart of an immersive and memorable story that will see them make complex moral choices to earn their place in the ranks of the Peaky Blinders.  Players will come in contact, and form bonds with iconic characters like Tommy and Arthur Shelby (voiced by Cillian Murphy and Paul Anderson) and a wealth of new characters to take down rivals.

Throughout the game players will be able to visit authentically recreated locations from the series, such as the Garrison Pub, Charlie’s Yard and Shelby’s Betting Shop, as well as new locations which help flesh out the world of Limehouse and fully explore all these environments to locate Easter eggs from the show, including character histories.

Ian Hambleton, Maze Theory, CEO, says: “For the first time, fans will have access to believable and responsive characters from Peaky Blinders, coming face-to-face with Tommy Shelby and encountering first-hand some terrifying situations. It’s an intense and thrilling experience.”

Jamie Glazebrook, Executive Producer of season 1 – 6 Peaky Blinders, Caryn Mandabach Productions said: “Maze Theory has brought the world of Peaky Blinders to life in an entirely new way. Now you have the chance to walk the streets of Small Heath alongside the Shelby family. I can’t wait for the fans to experience this.”

Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom will be coming to VR later this year.
