Quentin Tarantino says Kill Bill Vol. 3 is “definitely in the cards”

December 11, 2019 by Liam Waddington

Over the past few years, Quentin Tarantino has publicly expressed his desire to only direct ten films during his career. and if he does intend to stick to this decision, the Oscar-winning filmmaker would only have one movie left before he walks away following the release of his ninth film, the 2019 hit Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Now, in a recent interview on Andy Cohen Live, Tarantino has revealed that the long-rumoured Kill Bill Vol. 3 is still “definitely in the cards” as he has an “idea that actually could be interesting.”

“Well I just so happen to have had dinner with Uma Thurman last night, we were at a really cool Japanese restaurant… She was bragging about me, and I was bragging about her, it was a lovely night [Laughs]… Well, I do have an idea of what I would do. That was the whole thing, conquering that concept… exactly what’s happened to the bride since then, and what do I want to do. Because I wouldn’t want to just come up with some cockamamie adventure – she doesn’t deserve that. The Bride has fought long and hard. Now I have an idea that actually could be interesting – I wouldn’t do it for a little bit though… It would be like at least three years from now or something like that. But look, it is definitely in the cards.”

Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Kill Bill Vol. 2, which were released in 2003 and 2004 respectively, follows Uma Thurman as the Bride, who starts a campaign of revenge against the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad and their leader Bill (David Carradine), who tried to kill her and her unborn child.
