Rachael Taylor and Robbie Amell to star in Netflix sci-fi thriller ARQ

January 22, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Rachael Taylor (Jessica Jones) and Robbie Amell (The Flash) have signed on to appear in the Netflix original sci-fi movie ARQ, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed.

ARQ is written and directed by Tony Elliott (Orphan Black), and is described as “a post-apocalyptic thriller set in the near future when the oil supply has run dry. Trapped in a house and surrounded by a gang of mysterious masked intruders, an engineer (Amell) must protect a technology that could deliver unlimited energy and end the wars that have consumed the world. The only problem is that the technology has created a time loop that condemns him and his friends all to relive the same day over and over.”

Filming on the low-budget project is slated to get underway in Toronto in the winter. Expect it some time in 2017.
