Ray Fisher says there are “plans in progress” for Cyborg in the DCEU

April 11, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Had the stars aligned and everything went according to plan, last weekend would have seen the release of Warner Bros. and DC Films’ Cyborg solo movie – although as we know, it didn’t quite work out that way, and the future of Ray Fisher’s Victor Stone remains up in the air following the DC Extended Universe’s near-death experience with Justice League in 2017.

While Fisher initially felt confident that the Cyborg movie would come to fruition, the actor has been fairly silent on the topic for the past year or so. However, during a Twitch stream, he’s now suggested we haven’t seen the last of Cyborg, with Fisher stating that: “I know there are plans in the works. How privy am I to those plans? I cannot say.”

Asked whether there’s any possibility of seeing Cyborg as part of a potential Teen Titans movie, Fisher responded: “Our version, I think it would stay in the Justice League. Surely yes. I think it is a different version of Cyborg. I don’t necessarily see him in the near future going out and being part of the Titans. But, you know, you never know. You never know what could happen.”

While the Cyborg solo film looks about as likely as Justice League 2 at this point, there has been talk about Fisher reuniting with Justice League co-star Ezra Miller for a role in The Flash – assuming of course that movie still goes ahead after Miller’s recent altercation where he was seemingly videoed choke-slamming a female fan to the ground.

Would you like to see Ray Fisher back as Cyborg for a future DC project? Do you think it’ll happen? Let us know your thoughts in the comments, or on our social channels @FlickeringMyth…
