Red Sonja, Vampirella and Dejah Thoris get zombified for Dynamite variant covers

December 21, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Dynamite Entertainment is unleashing a zombie plague upon its March 2020 variant covers, with the publisher announcing that artist Juan Gedeon has produced seven special connecting covers for Killing Red Sonja #1, Vampirella #9, Vampirella/Red Sonja #7, Red Sonja #14, Death to the Army of Darkness #2, Dejah Thoris #4 and Red Sonja & Vampirella Meet Betty & Veronica #1. Check them out here…

“I always see Vampirella and Red Sonja portrayed as beautiful women, so I wanted to do the exact opposite for this,” states Gedeon. “I’m glad that I got away with all this gore I drew. My biggest inspiration for this was Spawn and the Argentinean comic Cazador drawn by the beast Mauro Cascioli, his art was like Simon Bisley gone Super Saiyan.”

The Dynamite Zombie Variant Covers will all go on sale in March 2020.
