Rian Johnson’s Knives Out 3 will shoot later this year

January 27, 2024 by Ricky Church

We may soon see the return of private detective Benoit Blanc as Deadline reports director Rian Johnson and his company T-Street are gearing up production on Knives Out 3 to begin later this year.

The news comes from a report which announced Johnson and fellow T-Street producer Ram Bergman have hired producer Katie McNeill (Wildflower) as the latest member of the company’s production team. It states that coming off of T-Street’s major successes in film and TV, with their film American Fiction just nominated for five Academy Awards including Best Picture, Johnson is eyeing to shoot the currently untitled Knives Out 3 for Netflix sometime late this year. He will once again write the script and direct the film with Daniel Craig reprising his role as detective Blanc.

The Knives Out films have revolved around Blanc investigating a death among a large cast of suspects. Knives Out was released in 2019 while its sequel Glass Onion was released on Netflix and given a special theatrical run in 2022. The casts have included a number of veteran and newcomer actors such as Jamie Lee Curtis, Ana de Armas, Chris Evans, Michael Shannon, Janelle Monáe, Edward Norton, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Dave Bautista and Madelyn Cline.

Are you excited for more Knives Out? Who would you like to see alongside Craig in the third film? Let us know on our social channels at @FlickeringMyth…
