Rumour: Marvel developing a female Blade movie

August 25, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Over the past couple of months we’ve heard from Wesley Snipes on several occasions suggesting that he’s held talks with Marvel Studios about a potential return as Blade [see here and here].

Well, if a new rumour from Bleeding Cool is to be believed, it seems Marvel is in development on a new Blade movie, although it will feature on the Daywalker’s daughter Fallon Grey, who is set to feature alongside Blade in the relaunched ‘All-New, All-Different’ comic book series.

According to the site, the potential movie is the reason that the upcoming Blade comic book has been delayed from its original October release date. Here’s the official description for the series:

Fallon Grey is a sixteen year old girl from rural Oregon. Nominated for Prom Queen, Captain of the debate team, most popular girl in her class. But there is another side to Fallon. A feeling like there’s something more inside of her. When terror strikes her small town, she’ll find out just how right she was. As fearsome supernatural forces hunt Fallon, she’ll come face to face with something even more shocking than the monsters on her tail. Eric Brooks…Blade…her father?! And in each other, they’ll discover the purpose they’ve each been struggling to find.

Would you like to see a new Blade movie featuring Fallon Grey, or should Marvel stick with Eric Brooks when the Daywalker finally joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
