A couple of weeks back, rumour resurfaced claiming that Jena Malone is reuniting with Sucker Punch director Zack Snyder for the role of Carrie Kelley (a.k.a. The Dark Knight Returns’ Robin) in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, stemming from the fact that the actress had died her hair red – much like the character in Batman: The Dark Knight Returns.
Well, Variety is now quoting an alleged extra from the top-secret film, who has apparently told local news station WILX-10 that “the character of Robin is now female”. This certainly adds some credence to the original report, unless the “extra” is just making it up to get themselves on the local news, of course…
