Last week it was announced that Elijah Wood has signed on to star as Todd in Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, and now Deadline is reporting that Samuel Barnett (Jupiter Ascending) has secured the title role.
The new series, which is being brought to the screen by Max Landis, will see Dirk and Todd “wend their way through one big, seemingly insane mystery a season, crossing unlikely paths with a bevy of wild and sometimes dangerous characters, each episode landing them a few random steps closer to uncovering the truth.”
Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency is based upon the cult novel by English author Douglas Adams and is being co-produced by BBC America, AMC Studios and IDW Entertainment.
