Shadow of the Tomb Raider ‘The Path Home’ DLC announced

April 7, 2019 by Patrick Nolan

Lara Croft’s next video game adventure has been revealed – Shadow of the Tomb Raider ‘The Path Home’ DLC is coming out later this month.

The DLC will be available on April the 23rd, but only for Season Pass owners. This means you will not be able to buy the DLC by itself at launch. Details are minimal so far on what the story of the DLC will be, all we know so far is that ‘The Path Home’ functions as an epilogue as it takes place after the end of the main story. A tweet from the Tomb Raider Twitter account announcing the DLC said this, “With the battle over but allies gone missing, Lara must search for them while uncovering an ancient mystery.”

Some fans have also noticed that Lara is wearing a different coloured shirt in screenshots of the DLC, which might suggest the return of some classic outfits.

It is unclear if this will be the final downloadable content release for Shadow of the Tomb Raider. A description of the Season Pass on the Xbox Live marketplace suggests that there will be ‘seven challenge tombs’ and ‘multiple narrative side missions.’ With only two challenge tombs yet to be released, will this DLC add the final ones?

If you’re looking to play the DLC in a few weeks the Season Pass is available for £24.99 and the game itself is about £20.  You can always play the game through the Xbox Game Pass too.
