Soulslinger: Envoy of Death gameplay showcased in new video

October 12, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Developer Elder Games and Headup have released a new developer video for Soulslinger: Envoy of Death showcasing some of the gameplay elements and a few of the undead minions of the Cartel that has invaded Limbo.  Watch this new video below to see more of what this roguelite FPS has in store.

Along with the new video is a massive update for the game currently on Steam Early Access.  This huge new update expands the Outskirts realm by adding new arenas and more enemies, including the new boss ‘Sentinel’, who can be found at the end of this realm.

There’s a brand new weapon schematic available for players that will allow them access to the ‘Wraithshot’.  This weapons schematic can be found by defeating the Revenant Sheriff boss.  Players will also be able to gain the new ‘Scroll of Wealth’ schematic, this can be purchased from the pirate vendor and causes coins to stay on the ground for longer.

The new update also features:

  • A new cinematic that introduces Victor, the main villain of the game.
  • Rush Encounters will become available after meeting Victor.
  • Five new, elite enemy types that are summoned by Victor during Rush Encounters.
  • Remnant Bossfights – Fight realm bosses such as the Cursed King or the Countess again to earn more rewards.
  • More conversations to be had at Haven that provide more lore.
  • Added the final Well of Tears upgrades that unlock Battle Shrines.
  • The addition of Battle Shrines to the game that offer unfair temporary advantages in exchange for a health sacrifice.

Soulslinger: Envoy of Death puts players in the spurs of a gunslinger who is trapped in the afterlife and forced to collect souls for Death. The job is made much harder by the arrival of an evil underworld organisation known as The Cartel, but there’s no need to get worried if you get killed, you’re working for Death afterall.
