Speedball trailer showcases new League Mode

May 14, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Rebellion has released a major new update for the revival of the Bitmap Brothers’ future sport franchise, Speedball. This latest update brings League Mode to the game as well as new arena hazards, new tackles and two new arenas called Grand Central and King’s Terminus. Watch the new trailer below to see these new arrivals.

The new League Mode allows 10 teams to compete over the course of a season and see who will be crowned the champions. To enter this league mode, players will need to grow a squad of up to 18 all-stars and be able to effectively rotate who they play, bench or rest in each match. How players manage this rotation will be the key to dealing with player fatigue and injuries.

There are no-holds-barred in the arenas, so players will be able to draft in players throughout the season to bolster the ranks and replace anyone who is lost through injury. Make sure to pick the best team based on each player’s set of unique stats and traits, such as pyromaniac, rioter and pitcher.

Speedball is a future sport used by the mega-corporations to distract the poor and features fast-paced, explosive and unpredictable matches between two teams of violent, cybernetically augmented players. Team members will have their own stats and traits that they can use during the match to increase the chances of their team winning.

Jump into Speedball now and take part in the new league mode.
