Kirk (Environmental Spacesuit Edition) 1/6 scale museum-grade figure, capturing his look from the classic Star Trek: The Original Series Season 3 episode, “The Tholian Web.”
Designed by costume designer William Ware Theiss with contributions by Mike Minor, this space suit made its debut in “The Tholian Web.” Because The Original Series faced budget constraints, spacesuits were rarely utilized; this specific design only appeared one more time in the episode “Whom Gods Destroy.” The suit encapsulates 1960s retro-futurism, heavily influenced by the real-world optimism of the Apollo-era space race. To achieve a smooth look that satisfied Gene Roddenberry’s vision, the original studio costumes featured a sleek, uninterrupted silhouette.
