Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett will be “grittier” than The Mandalorian

July 6, 2021 by Liam Waddington

With The Book of Boba Fett, the live-action spinoff series of The Mandalorian, currently in production, stuntman and stand-in Brendan Wayne has revealed the series will be much “grittier” as Boba Fett will be “all killer, no filler.”

“I think that’s what we as an audience, I think, are going to get from The Book of Boba Fett,” Wayne stated during an interview on the Star Wars Sessions podcast. “A lot more of that kinda feel. He gets even grittier than Mando did. I feel like he doesn’t have the choice because he really was a different kind of character.”

While details on The Book of Boba Fett are being kept under wraps, we do know the spinoff series will pick up from the post-credits scene of The Mandalorian season two, with Fett having assumed control of the Tatooine underworld.

The series will also fill in the blanks between Return of the Jedi and The Mandalorian after Fett’s apparent death in the original trilogy. Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen are both set to return to reprise their roles as Boba Fett and Fennec Shand respectively.

Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett is set to premiere on Disney+ in December.
