Star Wars: The Force Awakens will dominate IMAX screens for an entire month

August 26, 2015 by Gary Collinson

If you’re planning on catching Star Wars: The Force Awakens in IMAX, it seems you’ll have an entire month to do so, with The Hollywood Reporter revealing that IMAX has reserved all of its North American screens and the majority of screens around the rest of the world exclusively for the first instalment of Disney’s Sequel Trilogy.

The deal will mark the first time that IMAX has devoted all of its screens to a single film since Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy, and will mean that the likes of In the Heart of the Sea and The Revenant will miss out on IMAX screenings.
