Starship Troopers – Terran Command delayed until June

March 22, 2022 by Andrew Newton

Slitherine Games and The Aristocrats have announced they will be delaying the release of their RTS game based on the popular Starship Troopers franchise, Starship Troopers – Terran Command. The upcoming game will no longer release on the 31st March, instead releasing on 16th June so as to provide more time to bring gamers a more polished and bug free experience (pun intended – sorry).

The official message from Slitherine Games and The Artistocrats regarding the delay was as follows:

“Today we are making an important announcement related to the release date: Starship Troopers – Terran Command won’t be releasing on March 31st as previously announced.  The new and definitive launch date will be June 16, 2022.  We know many will find this announcement disappointing and we apologize. We truly feel that a few extra months of further polish and bug fixing will make a significant difference.

We intend to deliver a finished and polished game, and it is very important for us that you are able to fully enjoy the game from day 1, without any issue spoiling your fun or without having to wait for future patches or hotfixes.  The game is now content complete and all remaining development time will be entirely focused on refining what already exists. We can’t wait to reveal more, and we plan to show you a lot in the months leading up to the launch in June.”

Starship Troopers – Terran Command centres on the harsh desert mining planet of Kwalasha and gives players the opportunity to lead their Mobile Infantry against the Arachnids so that the hard working families supporting Terran demands can continue in peace.  where the lives of those working in the prospering mining industry have been disturbed by the Arachnids. Players will be able to embark on an exciting campaign, lead a variety of different troop types, meet interesting characters and take back the planet from the bugs.

The Arachnids have near limitless numbers at their disposal but the Mobile Infantry can use effective tactics and their superior firepower to win through. Deploy units in strategic positions on the high ground and use a range of weapons and equipment such as Morita Assault Rifles, MX-90 Frag’ Grenades, E-Pulse Rifles and heavily armed Marauder Mechs.

Look out for Starship Troopers – Terran Command arriving on its new date this June.
