Steve McQueen’s Small Axe gets a new trailer from Amazon Prime

Ahead of its premiere this November on BBC One and Amazon Prime, a new trailer has been released for Steve McQueen’s five-film anthology Small Axe which is inspired by real-life experiences of London’s West Indian Community during the 1960s to 1980s; take a look at the trailer here…

“If you are the big tree, we are the small axe.” -Jamaican proverb. Small Axe is a collection of five films inspired by real-life events about ordinary people showing courage, belief, and resilience to overcome injustice and achieve something transformative in their West Indian community. The television debut by Academy Award winning director Steve McQueen.

Small Axe premieres on BBC One and Amazon Prime on November 20th.
