Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream out now on PC and consoles

October 4, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe have announced the release of Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream on PC and consoles. Fractured Daydream is first-ever large-scale, live-service, multiplayer adventure Sword Art Online game and will send players into the world of Alfheim Online.  Watch the new launch trailer below.

In an original story, Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream takes players to Alfheim Online where a new system called Galaxia has been installed.  This new system has malfunctioned and caused all the game worlds and timelines to merge together, creating a chaotic world that players will have to face.  Lost in this strange world, Kirito, Asuna and friends will face dangers, tackle new challengers and make new allies.

The game features a number of different game modes, including single player, co-op Quest, Boss Raid and Free Roam.  In single player offline mode, players will follow the story and set out on their journey to fix the chaos that Galaxia has caused. While in online mode players can make parties of up to 20 players and tackle the other modes.  Quest will have players clearing missions with a final boss, Boss Raid will have players battle giant bosses and Free Roam will allow players to freely explore the world.

Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream is available in three editions:

  • Standard Edition
  • Deluxe Digital Edition – featuring Character Pass Vol.1, an exclusive stamp set and Prism Heart Costume Set
  • Digital Premium Edition will feature the above along with a Digital Artbook & Soundtrack, a mini-game and Wild Joker Dress

Dive into another world now with Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream.
