Terminator 6 to start filming in May

February 22, 2018 by Matt Rodgers

The Terminator franchise has asked us to remember a lot of important dates since 1984.There was August 29th, 1997, also known as Judgment Day. May 12th, 1984 was the day on which Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn) arrived from the future to save Sarah Connor. Then there are the days we’d rather forget, such as July 2nd, 2015, which marked the release of Terminator: Genisys.

Now we have another for our diary with the news that the Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger-starring, James Cameron-produced, and Tim Miller-directed sequel/reboot will start filming this May.

At the moment the film is auditioning young actresses for the role of a character called Dani Ramos, which has delayed the shoot from its intended March jump-off point. According to Omega Undergound, the film will shoot on location in Spain, the United Kingdom, and Budapest.

Little is known about the film beyond the fact it will retcon the franchise by ignoring everything which has occurred post Terminator 2: Judgment Day, but the delay suggests that Paramount are giving Miller as much time as possible in order to course correct a once iconic series of films. Endoskeletal fingers crossed.

Production on the as-yet-untitled Terminator 6 will run from May until November, with a release date of July 26th, 2019.
