That Arrested Development Avengers: Infinity War credit explained

April 28, 2018 by Matt Rodgers

Please be aware that the following story contains spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War…

While most of us were dealing with the fallout from Thanos snapping his fingers, those without tears in their eyes were able to spot an Arrested Development easter egg within the end credits of Avengers: Infinity War.

The Russo brothers, who made their names directing multiple episodes of the superb FOX comedy, thanked the rights-holders for allowing the use of a certain character.

This news might have you racking your brain to see if you can remember G.O.B. trading magic illusions (never tricks) with Doctor Strange, or George Michael swinging his light sabre on Wakanda.

Well, now the Easter egg has been revealed as everyone’s favourite ‘never-nude’, Tobias Funke, played by David Cross in the TV series. While he doesn’t appear in person, if you look carefully in the background during the scene in which Thanos interrogates The Collector on Knowhere, one of the display cases contains Tobias in his “I blue myself” Blue Man Group phase.

Amongst a myriad of things you might have missed first time round, this is another to look out for during your inevitable re-watch.
