The Ghost Survivors free DLC available now for Resident Evil 2

February 16, 2019 by Andrew Newton

If you’re a fan of Capcom’s reimagining of the 1998 classic Resident Evil 2 then you’ll be pleased to hear that the free The Ghost Survivors DLC is available now for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.  This band new DLC will follow three different characters that the game’s main heroes never got the pleasure of meeting.  Watch the launch trailer below…

The Ghost Survivors will follow three new protagonists: a lone Umbrella soldier, gun store owner Robert Kendo and the mayor’s daughter Katherine Warren.  If you’ve played through the game then you probably know what happened to this trio but this DLC provides a ‘what if’ scenario, what if these three characters hadn’t met their grisly fate.

Katherine Warren, the daughter of Raccoon City’s mayor, will have a different fate to that from the main game and will need to find a way past a mutated zombie to get out of the infected city. Robert Kendo will have a second chance of life away from his gun store when a friend offers to pick him up in his helicopter, providing Kendo can avoid the new type of poisonous zombie to get to the pick up point.  Finally, the lone Umbrella soldier will provide a challenging scenario where players will need to escape the laboratory underneath the city.

These ‘what if’ scenarios can be completed on regular difficulty or in the Training mode and provide new challenges that when completed will unlock a variety of accessories.

The Ghost Survivors is available now for free on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
