The Long Dark Trail leads to a sadistic cult in trailer for new folk horror

Ahead of its release this February, a poster and trailer have arrived online for the upcoming folk horror The Long Dark Trail.

Written and directed by Kevin Ignatius and Nick Psinakis, the film follows two teenage brothers who escape their abusice father and head to the woods of Northwestern Pennsylvania in hopes of finding their estranged mother who joined a sadistic cult. Watch the trailer below…

 

After two impoverished teenage brothers manage to escape their abusive father, they embark on a treacherous and haunted journey in the hope of finding their estranged mother who has joined a sadistic cult, deep in the woods of Northwestern Pennsylvania.

Featuring in the cast of The Long Dark Trail are Brady O’Donnell, Carter O’Donnell, Trina Campbell, and Michael Thyer.

The Long Dark Trail arrives on Blu-ray, DVD and digital platforms on February 21st.
