The Matrix 4 adds iZombie actor Andrew Caldwell

With filming now officially underway on The Matrix 4, director Lana Wachowski has made another addition to the cast of the sci-fi action sequel.

As revealed by Deadline, iZombie actor Andrew Caldwell has joined the film, although as with all of the new cast additions, his role is being kept tightly under wraps.

Keanu Reeves (Neo), Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity) and Jada Pinkett Smith (Niobe) are reprising their roles from the original trilogy, while newcomers to the world of The Matrix include Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Watchmen), Jessica Henwick (Iron Fist), Neil Patrick Harris (A Series of Unfortunate Events), Jonathan Groff (Frozen II), Priyanka Chopra (Baywatch) and Sense8 alumni Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt and Erendira Ibarra.

The Matrix 4 is set for release on May 21st 2021.
