Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper continue their adventures as the Doctor and Rose Tyler in The Ninth Doctor Adventures: False Friends, a new full-cast audio drama from Big Finish. There’s trouble in store for the time-travelling duo as they come across a young couple who have found their way to a fake Earth.
In False Friends, Minnie and Gary, a young couple from London, begin to think their home isn’t quite real. The tube lines don’t have the correct names, they have absurd jobs, and the real giveaway is that everyone else is a robot.
Stuck on this fake Earth, and desperate not to be discovered as real humans, the pair call out for the only person they believe will be able to help them. Will the Doctor and Rose be able to save the couple from this imitation of Earth, and can he find out who has built this very poor imitation in the first place?
L to R: Glen McCready, Nicole Davis, Joe Pitts, and Máiréad Tyers.
This new adventure for the Ninth Doctor stars Máiréad Tyers as Minnie, Joe Pitts as Gary, Glen McCready as Peter Ampersand Hashtag, Gary’s ‘motivational speaker’ boss, and Nicole Davis as Alice JNKL50.
Doctor Who: The Ninth Doctor Adventures – False Friends is available now for £9.99 for a digital download, or £11.99 for the download and limited collector’s edition CD.
