The Passenger trailer pits Djimon Hounsou against Kodi Smit-McPhee

Ahead of its release this Friday, Vertical has shared a poster and trailer for The Passenger, the upcoming thriller from director Vadim Perelman.

Djimon Hounsou stars as Hassan, a struggling airport shuttle driver who illegally takes a passenger (Kodi Smit-McPhee) after he asks him to drive him to Chicago to see his dying mother, but Hassan soon comes to realise the young man has sinister intentions, trapping him in a terrifying situation. Check out the trailer below…

Hassan, a struggling Somali-American airport shuttle driver in Minneapolis, illegally takes a passenger named Lloyd to Chicago so he can visit his dying mother. En Route, Hassan discovers Lloyd is wearing a bomb vest and confesses to setting off a bomb at the Minneapolis airport that killed five people. At gunpoint, Hassan is forced to keep driving him to Chicago, trapped in a terrifying ride he can’t escape.

The Passenger is set for release on June 5th.
