Big Finish Productions has announced a new full-cast audio drama for the Second Doctor, set to arrive this August. Starring Michael Troughton as the Second Doctor, along with Frazer Hines as Jamie, Wendy Padbury as Zoe, and Emma Noakes as Time Lord handler Raven, this upcoming adventure finds the four travellers going to extreme lengths to avoid the Time Lords.
To prevent being recalled to Gallifrey, the Doctor, Jamie, Zoe and Raven take the TARDIS to Earth, 1963. However, this is not their Earth, nor is it even their universe. They have arrived in an alternate reality where the Doctor had never arrived, an Earth that is entirely free of his influence and actions, and where his old friends are strangely different.
For the Doctor, being on an Earth that needs saving is a frustrating thing; if he tries to save it or escape, the Time Lords will find him. So instead he stays in the old haunted windmill on the edge of a marsh and watches. If only that was what the monsters were doing.
