Netflix’s The Witcher: Blood Origin gets a new trailer ahead of Christmas Day premiere

Netflix is serving up a treat for fans of The Witcher this Christmas Day with the release of the limited series The Witcher: Blood Origin, and the streamer has shared a new trailer and poster for the four-part prequel which tells the story of the first Witcher and the events that lead to the cataclysm known as the ‘Conjuntion of the Spheres’; check out the trailer below, along with a new poster…

Every story has a beginning. Witness the untold history of the Continent with The Witcher: Blood Origin, a new prequel series set in an elven world 1200 years before the events of The Witcher. Blood Origin will tell a story lost to time – exploring the creation of the first prototype Witcher, and the events that lead to the pivotal “Conjunction of the Spheres,” when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one.

The Witcher: Blood Origin features a cast that includes Michelle Yeoh (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) as Scian, Laurence O’Fuarain (Vikings) as Fjall, Sophia Brown (Marcella) as Eile, Lenny Henry (The Lord of the Rings)as Balor, Mirren Mack (The Nest) as Merwyn, Nathaniel Curtis (It’s A Sin) as Brian, Dylan Moran (Black Books) as Uthrok One-Nut, Jacob Collins Levy (Young Wallander) as Eredin, Lizzie Annis (Night Growler) as Zacaré, Huw Novelli (The Capture) as Callan “Brother Death”, Francesca Mills (Harlots) as Meldof, Zach Wyatt (Karen Pirie) as Syndril, Joey Batey (The Witcher) as Jaskier, Aidan O’Callaghan (EastEnders) as Kareg and Amy Murray as Fenrik.
