Netflix has released a brand new clip from writer-director Sam Esmail’s upcoming adaptation of Rumann Alam’s novel, Leave the World Behind, which sees a herd of deer gathering ominously outside the holiday home of Julia Roberts and Ethan Hawke.
The end-times thriller stars Roberts and Hawke as a couple enjoying a weekend break with their children in a luxurious rental home when they are disturbed by a man (Mahershala Ali) claiming to be the owner and his daughter (Myha’la) who seek refuge as the world around them collapses following a cyberattack across the whole country. Leave the World Behind arrives in select cinemas on November 24th, and on Netflix from December 8th.
