This Is the Police 2 comes to PC this August

July 3, 2018 by Andrew Newton

THQ Nordic have announced that their police strategy sequel This is the Police II will be arriving on PC, Linux and Mac on the 2nd August.  The sequel will bring a new location, a new sheriff and a new gameplay mechanic providing an entirely different policing experience to that of the original game. This is the Police II will also be released on the Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch later this year.

In This is the Police II players take a journey to the cold frontier town of Sharpwood to follow the journey of new sheriff Lilly Reed.  Unlike Police Chief Jack Boyd’s role in the big city of the original game, Lilly Reed is not so overwhelmed with the red tape and bureaucracy so will be able to provide direct control of her officers during dangerous and difficult missions.

As with the first game, This is the Police II is a mix of adventure and management genres, however, police officers are no longer treated like a resource but are individuals with their own strengths, weaknesses, fears and prejudices. During particularly dangerous call outs the game will switch to a new turn based combat mode that will see players having to guide their officers into advantageous positions and make arrests, although, make the wrong decision and the police officer’s life could be jeopardised.

This is the Police II will arrive on PC, Linux and Mac this August.
