Ti West announces X trilogy finale MaXXXine starring Mia Goth

September 13, 2022 by Matt Rodgers

Ti West has done it again. Following the Midnight Madness premiere of his covertly filmed Pearl, the prequel to his critically acclaimed horror X, the director announced that the Mia Goth starring series is to become a trilogy by unveiling the teaser to MaXXXine, which you can check out below…

Deadline revealed that the 80s set sequel would once again star Mia Goth, reprising one of the two roles she played in X, and that MaXXXine would follow the fame hungry survivor of the events of X as she continues her journey towards making it as an actress in Los Angeles.

Pearl, which we called “the definition of master-class horror” in our ★★★★★ review, hits cinemas this weekend, while MaXXXine is yet to go before the cameras having only just been greenlit by A24.
