It may not be the Hocus Pocus sequel fans were hoping for, but according to Deadline Tina Fey will produce and star in a currently untitled film centered around witchcraft for Disney. It’s said to be “in the same vein as Ghostbusters,” with Cinderella producer Allison Shearmur helping Fey out with producing duties.
That’s all we know about the project at the moment. The big story about it seems to be that it’s not Hocus Pocus 2 as many originally speculated; a rumor that was then picked up by just about everyone in Tinsletown. Who knew so many people wanted to see another Sanderson Sisters adventure?
Fey is currently working on her latest comedy with Amy Poehler, The Nest. Once she’s done with that film, she will likely hop on board this Untitled Witch Project.
